Job Description

    TAMELO Atap Cafe Head Chef's Key roles and Responsibilities:

    • Coaches and provides leadership to all staff in the kitchen, ensuring the training and development of staff, providing input for performance, appraisal, and disciplinary action
    • Observe the regular quality of food preparation, service (food appearance, taste, cleanliness, and sanitation of production and service areas, equipment, and employee appearance)
    • Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
    • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and labeling are maintained in the various kitchen areas including refrigerators and storerooms. Also, food products are rotated to ensure high standards of freshness
    • Participate in the preparation of the Food and Beverage department’s revenue and expense budgets and monitor the department’s financial performance.

Job Requirements

    TAMELO Atap Cafe Head Chef's Requirements:

    • Formal culinary training preferred (min. Diploma in culinary hospitality) with a minimum of 35 years old
    • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Head Chef 
    • Have previous experiences with food and labor cost control, menu development and pricing, and development of culinary team preferred
    • Have expert knowledge about COGS reports and food costing
    • Have good communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
    • Able to work in high-pressure environments
